Effective date: January 1, 2025
These Terms of Use apply to your use of accrulyn.com (the “Site”), operated by Accrulyn Financial Services (“Accrulyn,” “we,” “us” or “our”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Information only, not professional advice
Content on the Site, including articles, guides, FAQs and pricing information, is general information. It is not tax, accounting, legal or financial advice for your specific situation, and tax rules change frequently. Do not act on Site content without advice from a qualified professional who knows your facts.
2. No client relationship until an engagement letter is signed
Using the Site, submitting a form, sending an email or booking a consultation does not create a client relationship. A client relationship begins only when you and Accrulyn sign an engagement letter describing the services, fees and responsibilities. The engagement letter controls if it conflicts with these Terms.
3. Our services
Accrulyn is an accounting and tax services company led and supervised by CPAs. We do not provide audit, review or other attest or assurance services. Descriptions of services and prices on the Site are summaries and may change; your price and scope are confirmed in writing before work begins.
4. Information you send us
Please do not send Social Security numbers, bank or account login details, or tax documents through Site forms or regular email. Use our secure client portal for documents once you are a client. How we collect and use personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Client portal
Access to our client portal is limited to authorized clients and their authorized users. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. Additional terms may apply to the portal.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Site, including by attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with its operation, submitting false or misleading information, sending spam or malicious code, or using automated tools to scrape content.
7. Intellectual property
The Site and its content, including text, graphics, logos and design, are owned by Accrulyn or its licensors. You may view and print content for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish or distribute Site content without our written permission. Third-party names and logos shown on the Site belong to their owners and are used only to identify platforms we work with; their use does not imply endorsement.
8. Third-party links and tools
The Site may link to or embed third-party websites and services, such as scheduling, review or payment tools. We are not responsible for their content, policies or practices, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.
9. Communications
If you contact us or submit a form, you agree that we may reply by email or phone about your inquiry. If you agree to receive text messages from us, message and data rates may apply, and you can opt out at any time by replying STOP.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the Site, including its accuracy, completeness, availability or fitness for a particular purpose.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Accrulyn will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site or its content. Liability for services provided to clients is governed by the applicable engagement letter.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Accrulyn harmless from claims, losses and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, unless an engagement letter provides otherwise.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
